Volunteer Opportunities Adobe Lightroom Guru Do you have an eye for good photography? Does organizing and cataloging things give you a thrill? Do you have a working knowledge of the Adobe Lightroom software? Then we need you! EECM’s Development Department is in search of a volunteer to help organize and catalog the agency’s collection of digital photography. The time commitment is approximately two hours per week. If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Kate Snyder at 412.361.5549 ext. 422, or kates@eecm.org. Hearty Database Helper Do you find data entry soothing and enjoyable? Do you have experience with database management? Then step right up! EECM’s Volunteer Coordinator is looking for a willing assistant to help with weekly volunteer data entry. The time commitment is approximately two hours per week and previous experience with the Raiser’s Edge program is preferred, but not necessary. “Homework Helpers” EECM is recruiting adult volunteers (ages 18 and up) to serve as “Homework Helpers,” providing individualized academic assistance in literacy and math to students participating in EECM’s after-school programs.Homework Helpers work one-on-one with students within the context of a larger group setting, under the direction of an EECM staff member. Volunteers must: • Have Act 33/34 Clearances or be able to get them; • Be available for a minimum of one hour per week and be willing to make a commitment to the program for a minimum of one school year; • Be available within the program’s operating hours of 2:30pm to 6:00pm Monday through Thursday; • Be flexible and patient and have a passion for working with youth; • Be familiar with current educational practices relating to mathematics learning (for math volunteers) Please contact Tracy Hudson at 412.361.5549 ext. 403, or tracyh@eecm.org if you are interested in becoming a Homework Helper!
